Project description

As a long-term partner of Retrobridge, we handle the maintenance and preservation of their rental bridge fleet. Within the maintenance program, existing bridge structures are fully grit-blasted and recoated to ensure the quality and lifespan of the constructions.

In addition, newly acquired bridges are first treated within our coating facility. The work consists of fully grit-blasting the bridge structures and applying a new, sustainable preservation system. Upon completion of the preservation work, the bridges are fitted with a new wearing course by our partner Rowij Bouwchemie B.V..

Challenges

Quality and sustainability are central to this project, as the bridges are used extensively within Retrobridge’s rental fleet. The work requires tight planning and an efficient turnaround time so that the bridges can be put back into service quickly.

Additionally, both existing and new bridge structures require precise surface pretreatment and preservation to guarantee long-term protection against weathering and load.

Result

The bridge structures have been fully sandblasted and treated with a new, durable preservation system. This provides the bridges with optimal protection against corrosion and prepares them for long-term use within the rental fleet.

Thanks to the combination of preservation and a new wear layer, the bridges once again feature a high-quality and durable finish.
